This tiny tool scans your computer for every font you have, including font files you downloaded but never installed, without moving or changing anything.

Then it shows them all in one view, where you can preview the same text across every font, organize them into groups and tags, and quickly save the ones you like.

You can also add a Claude API key and have it automatically sort and tag fonts by style.

When you’re done, export your picks as a PDF type specimen to print.

1. unzip anywhere, open Start Font Atlas.command (mac: if blocked, System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway, just once). windows / linux: python3 app.py. it opens in your browser on its own.
2. scan. sort. select.
3. export your picks as a PDF specimen sheet.

runs on your computer, needs nothing but Python 3 (macs have it), and never touches or uploads your fonts. optional AI sorting uses your own Anthropic key and only ever sends font names.
